Let me tell you why I am so excited over a healthy gut (your intestines that is). Ever since I discovered I was gluten and dairy intolerant, I really paid attention to the signs that my body was telling me. Not only did I eliminate gluten & dairy, but I started to switch over to an almost 100% organic diet. I visited a naturopathic doctor one day who had suggested an elimination of foods to see what was triggering the inflammation in my body. By listening to my symptoms, he told me I was deficient in enzymes and that I possibly had candida or leaky gut syndrome. In a nutshell, candida can attribute to leaky gut syndrome which releases by-product toxins and other toxins from your system throughout your body in a not so good way. This leads to inflammation of the body and chronic fatigue to just name a few. That is why it’s important to maintain a proper PH balance with good bacteria to help prevent this. Enter probiotics.
Probiotics are living microorganisms that are healthy live bacteria and yeasts, which are good for your health. They are especially good for your digestive system. Some probiotics are dosed by the number of live organisms they contain. For instance, a typical dosage of Lactobacillus acidophilus ranges between 1 billion to 10 billion live organisms. Ora’s probiotic powder contains 20 billion probiotics per serving making this a great source of probiotics.
I discovered ora while doing a search for probiotic supplements awhile back. A lot of times I purchase Kombucha at the store (which contain probiotics), but I really wanted something easily accessible that doesn’t require consuming a bubbly Kombucha each time. There’s only so much Kombucha I can drink and afford LOL. I mean at $3 a pop, that adds up daily. That’s why I am happy I found Ora. Basically, you take one scoop of Ora’s probiotic/prebiotic powder and mix with some juice, a smoothie, or a shot of water. The powder comes in a one month supply. The probiotics at ora are USDA organic certified, contains no gluten, dairy, soy, or tree nuts. There’s nothing fake added and no fillers.
I’m really big on not consuming any synthetic chemicals, as most supplements out there are low in quality and filled with ingredients not necessary for our bodies. You just take one little scoop of this guy, and it tastes great! It has an apple flavor to it. No joke. Super fast and an easy way to quickly absorb into your body.
The second thing I love about ora is their vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and fish-free plant based omega-3 spray! Say what!! A lot of prego mamas out there are required to take DHA & EPA during their pregnancy. Their doctors highly recommend it, but what if you are vegan or don’t actually want to consume DHA from fish? Well, this spray is derived form algae, which is where fish get their omega-3’s anyway. So awesome that you don’t have to worry about ocean toxins, metals or mercury as it’s totally vegan! 12 sprays equate to 1000mg of your omegas!
Other ingredients include: MCT oil from coconut, organic monk fruit, Organic Sunflower Lecithin, and Organic Rosemary extract. The orange flavor is rather pleasant and I don’t mind spraying it in my system. Let’s just say this is such an awesome and unique product! Very happy a brand has created this.
